Consecration of the School to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The very identity of R.C. Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School is rooted in the love and guidance of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. As a Catholic institution, we consecrate our school, staff, and students to His Sacred Heart, seeking His blessings in all our endeavors.

Our Act of Consecration

Sacred Heart of Jesus, You have revealed Your desire to reign in every family and every institution. Today, we humbly dedicate ourselves and our school into Your loving care. May our school radiate Your virtues of love, peace, joy, justice, and forgiveness in every action and relationship.

We ask You to:
  • Take complete possession of our school and bless our mission of education.
  • Keep away from us all influences that lead us astray, and replace bitterness with forgiveness and unity.
  • Fill our classrooms, playgrounds, and gatherings with Your presence, peace, and guidance.
  • Strengthen our teachers, parents, and students to be channels of Your compassion and love.

Living in the Spirit of the Sacred Heart

We believe that education is not just the imparting of knowledge, but the formation of character and spirit. By consecrating ourselves to the Sacred Heart, we seek to live every day with:

  • Faithfulness in our duties as students and educators.
  • Compassion in reaching out to the poor and marginalized.
  • Unity in respecting and embracing diversity.
  • Courage in facing challenges with trust in God’s plan.

A School Guided by His Heart

The consecration reminds us that the Sacred Heart of Jesus is at the center of all our efforts—be it academics, co-curricular pursuits, or community service. His love inspires us to remain steadfast in our values and to form students who are not only knowledgeable but also spiritually enriched and socially responsible.

“May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be everywhere known, loved, and glorified – Amen.”

About the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (C.S.S.T.)

The Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (C.S.S.T.) was founded in 1887 by Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima, a woman of deep spirituality, vision, and social concern. Headquartered in Ernakulam, Kerala, the congregation has since spread across India and beyond, establishing schools, colleges, orphanages, dispensaries, and homes for the aged.

Foundress – Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima

Mother Teresa was a pioneer in championing the cause of the poor, marginalized, and underprivileged in society. She firmly believed that “all human beings are children of God and deserve to live with dignity.” With this conviction:

  • She opened schools where students from all social and financial backgrounds were welcomed.
  • She established an orphanage for abandoned children, personally caring for them.
  • She founded dispensaries, industrial schools, and homes for the aged, providing dignity and hope to those discarded by society.
  • She even reached out to prisoners and the sick, tending to their spiritual and physical needs.

Though her life was short (1887–1902), her vision and zeal continue to inspire thousands of sisters and educators across the world.

Charism and Spirit

The C.S.S.T. is guided by the charism of education, service, and liberation. Inspired by the Gospel values of love, peace, forgiveness, and brotherhood/sisterhood, the congregation focuses on:

  • Providing value-based and integral education.
  • Uplifting the poor, marginalized, and underprivileged.
  • Building a society of justice, equality, and harmony.
  • Nurturing faith, discipline, and service-mindedness in students and staff.

Global Mission

Today, the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa manage numerous educational institutions and social service centers. Their mission extends across schools, colleges, technical training centers, and charitable initiatives, all aimed at transforming society through education and compassion.

At R.C. Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, the spirit of the C.S.S.T. continues to shine through every activity, guiding both teachers and students to live lives rooted in faith, knowledge, and service.
