Rules and Regulations
At R.C. Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, discipline is considered the foundation of learning. The school expects every student to uphold values of respect, punctuality, responsibility, and integrity. The rules and regulations are designed not merely to maintain order, but to cultivate a culture of self-discipline and respect for others.
General Discipline
- Students must maintain good conduct, punctuality, and discipline at all times.
- Respect towards teachers, staff, fellow students, and visitors is mandatory. Politeness and courtesy are expected in both words and actions.
- Students are strictly prohibited from engaging in misconduct, bullying, or any behavior that disturbs the peace and harmony of the school.
Attendance and Leave
- Regular attendance is compulsory. Students should not be absent from class without valid reasons.
- Any absence requires prior permission or a leave letter submitted by parents/guardians.
- A minimum attendance percentage, as prescribed by the Tamil Nadu State Board, is required for eligibility to appear in examinations.
- Latecomers must provide valid reasons and may not be permitted into class without authorization.
Uniform and Identification
- Students must wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and with pride every day.
- The School ID Card is part of the uniform and must be worn daily without exception.
- Proper grooming, including neatly combed hair, polished shoes, and clean attire, is expected from all students.
Prohibited Items and Conduct
- The use of mobile phones, electronic gadgets, and other distracting items inside the campus is strictly prohibited. Confiscated items will not be returned.
- Students are not permitted to bring or use objectionable materials, magazines, or harmful substances within the school premises.
- Any form of damage to school property, furniture, or the environment will invite strict disciplinary action and financial penalties.
Respect for Diversity and Environment
- Students must demonstrate respect for cultural, religious, and social diversity, upholding the values of inclusivity and unity.
- Protection of the school environment is every student’s responsibility. Cleanliness of classrooms, playgrounds, and common areas must be maintained.
- Students are encouraged to participate in eco-friendly initiatives, showing care for nature and creation.
Academic Responsibility
- Students are expected to complete assignments, projects, and homework on time and with sincerity.
- Participation in school functions, assemblies, and academic programs is mandatory unless exempted for genuine reasons.
- Integrity in academics is essential; cheating in examinations or assignments will result in strict action, including suspension.
